Free Carriage Ride with Mrs. Claus

I recently stumbled across some information about a horse-drawn carriage ride with Mrs. Claus, so Jacob & I went to check it out tonight.  Cotswold Village shopping center in Charlotte is offering free rides around the shopping center parking lot.  The ride begins on the sidewalk in front of the Toys & Co. store.  The remaining dates/times are:

Sat. Dec. 11th from 12:00-3:00 p.m.
Fri. Dec. 17th from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Sat. Dec. 18th from 12:00-3:00 p.m.

As soon as Jacob saw the horse he began “neighing.”  And despite the end-of-year stress I’m sure her husband is under right now, Mrs. Claus was very sweet & laid-back.  She spoke to each of the children & let them shake some bells while singing a few Christmas carols.  The carriage had cozy blankets for us to use.  We petted the horse & got some free hot cider & cookies.  It was a fun, simple, free experience for my toddler.  Afterward we went to Toys & Co. & Jacob played at the train table.  We finished our evening with pancakes at IHOP.

Next up on the list of holiday activities is watching a synchronized light/music show in the Lake Park subdivision in Union County.  Stay tuned!
